BOOKING FEE

All orders require a 50% booking fee, this fee secures your event date and is non-refundable. If the booking fee has not been received in due time, the preliminary booking will fall away. If after a booking payment you postpone the date of your event I will endeavour to accommodate your new date as best I can, but this is not guaranteed.

ORDERS

Please check your quote and invoice thoroughly to ensure the details are correct. All baked goods ordered from a photograph that has been produced by another baker, will be reproduced as a ‘Lexi’s Crumbs’ interpretation. All baked goods and decorations are made by hand so will not be an exact replica of the photograph. Extra care will be taken to match requested colours and design. ‘Lexi’s Crumbs’ reserves the right to use any image of our baked goods at our discretion.

TASTINGS

Tasting boxes are offered to bridal couples with your choice of sponge flavours and fillings. Please email for pricing and booking details.

DELIVERY

All wedding cake quotes include delivery and set up at your venue on the day. It is the clients responsibility to provide an appropriate environment and secure table for the cake. Optimal room temperature required is 22°C or below. Orders that require delivery and can not be delivered due to incorrect details or client availability will be taken back to ‘Lexi’s Crumbs’ and stored for a maximum of 72 hours. Should you require a future delivery date, you will be held responsible for the additional delivery charge. Unfortunately no international shipping is available.

COLLECTION & TRANSPORTATION

Orders are to be collected at a prearranged date and time. Orders that are not collected at this arranged time will not be refunded and will be stored for a maximum of 72 hours. Once your order has been collected, you assume all responsibility for the condition of the baked goods once it leaves my possession. All baked goods should be transported with extra care on the flattest service possible. Cakes should preferably be transported on a non-slip mat on the passenger floor or in the car boot instead of a persons lap.

BALANCE PAYMENTS

The outstanding balance of your order must be settled on collection, either in cash or via card payment. My Yoco card machine accepts all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard and Maestro. 

CAKE STAND HIRE

All hired equipment must be paid for in full prior to your event. This equipment must be returned in its box within seven days of the hired date, unless alternative arrangements have been made prior to this date. The deposit will only be refunded once the hired equipment is returned in its original condition. Damage or breakage of this equipment will incur a loss or reduction of deposit refund, in order to cover the costs of repair or replacement.

HOW TO CUT YOUR CAKE

Cakes are best cut with a sharp serrated knife. To yield the most slices it is recommended to cut the cake in rectangular pieces as opposed to the traditional wedge. See the portion diagram below. Cover the uncut cake with cling wrap or keep in an airtight container.

 

INEDIBLE ITEMS

Cakes may contain small amounts of inedible items such as wooden skewers and support dowels in tiered cakes as well as florist wire and toothpicks in fondant figurines and sugar flowers. It is the clients responsibility to ensure these items are removed before consumption.

STORAGE & BEST BEFORE DATE

Your baked goods will be perfectly fresh for the date of your event. I can not guarantee the quality of the items if consumed more than 72 hours after the event. My baked products do not contain any additives or preservatives so a prolonged shelf life is not guaranteed. It is best to store your baked goods in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, preferably in the box it was provided in. Do not refrigerate unless otherwise stated.
